The cleaning has always existed, but it was just unqualified work, which was done with bucket and rag. Even though the housekeeper regularly removes the dust and vacuum cleans, she’s not able to qualitatively wash the kitchen tile. The layer of dust and grease, which forms on it, may be removed just with special polishing machine. That’s why professional cleaning is essential because of the high demands to the sanitary and comfort and because of the necessity of prolonging the terms of living of trimming materials.

Cleaning also means care of all surfaces and their protections, which is done by specialized companies, and saving of their exploitation qualities. These services are done by qualitative specialists with using of professional equipment.

About 150 companies and private enterprises are now presented at the market. They have different volume of productivity and quantity of staff. The experts admit that just 10-15 companies out of those correspond to the high European standards. It’s explained by the fact, that the native cleaning market is very young. However, according to the words of Iryna Kladko, the marketing specialist of Shaden Group, the clients of these enterprises is gradually increasing, and the demand has specially increased during the last few years.

“It’s explained by the appearing of qualitative classy apartments. Its owners have profit when ordering the cleaning service. The most popular kinds of cleaning are cleaning after construction, cleaning after repair and general cleaning, especially before and after holidays. There’s also a great demand for single services concerned with cleaning of carpets and furniture, washing of windows. However we do have lots of repeated contracts”, she says.

Altogether there’re lots of cleaning companies at the market, which are dilettantes and don’t do the cleaning in professional way. Sometimes it’s necessary to redo the orders after those.

Of course, it’ll be more expensive for the customer. The consequences of cleaning companies’ actions may be different. The classical example: the improper chemicals are used for surface cleaning, they don’t clean – they damage the surface, the measures for neutralization of these cleaners are not done. Lots of these cleaning companies damage the property, because they don’t have the proper remedies and specialized technique, they don’t have the experienced staff, the main part of which don’t work at the constant bases.

In order to avoid such unpleasant situation, you should remember, that professionals will never strongly reduce the price for their services. The dilettantes try to get the client by low prices. Attracted by low prices, the customers may get their property damaged or get disappointed in cleaning services at all.

“Some clients still consider the price of services as main criteria of choosing the cleaning company. They often order the cheapest service. Then the professionals have to redo their “job”, Vitalij Brus, the director of cleaning company Vip-Club Cleaning, says, “Some of the Kiev inhabitants have already done the conclusions and try to avoid the suspicious cheapness.”

It’s impossible to do the professional cleaning by means of our domestic chemicals and cleaners. That’s why the cleaning companies use the professional technique and chemicals only. It makes no sense to call on the professional cleaner every day. But at least once a year their service should be ordered. They’ll do everything, what is necessary for perfect cleanliness.

As a rule, the standard set of cleaning services includes: complex cleaning of premises (daily and single), professional cleaning after repair and construction, dry cleaning (of furniture, linoleum, carpets), care of granite and marble coverings, cleaning of glass surfaces (windows, stained-glass windows etc.), cleaning of sewerage system, ventilation system, heating system, disinfection, industrial climbing, cleaning of facades, cleaning of the roof from snow, cleaning of the territory.

Each kind of jobs needs the professionalism, using of special technologies. It’s impossible to get a good result without that. The staff of the company is chosen carefully and trained. The workers go through the periodical trainings. According to the result of the trainings, the employees get a new category and are allowed to do the jobs of different level of complexity. For example, if the company offers a service of windows washing, it should have the industrial climbers in its staff. The industrial climbers are supposed to have the special technique, detergents, equipment and tools.

The furniture also needs a careful treatment and professional care. Not every chemical is suitable for the certain coach or arm-chair. If a thing becomes spoilt by the fault of cleaner, the company should cover the expenses.

It’s not only apartment, what needs a professional care. If you live in a cottage, you should take care about keeping its clean and good-looking. The modern construction industry uses very expensive trimming materials, which price is more than €50-150 for one sq. m without including the cost of jobs. It’s a pity that the owners of real estate invest big money into the trimming of apartment, but afterwards they begin to save money on care and cleaning, or postpone the cleaning on the indefinite terms. The materials get worn out very quickly and lose their look, that’s why the money, invested into construction and repair, are lost. In particular, if the fa?ade of a building isn’t washed regularly, the dirt gets into the smallest cracks and pores of material, deteriorating the esthetic qualities of material each month. In average the building should be washed no less than once a year. In this case the fa?ade keep its good look up to ten years without doing general repair.

Lately a big volume of orders is done by constructors: the lasting constructions make an agiotage. This kind of cleaning service is the most popular during a couple of years. The biggest constructing companies order a “finish” cleaning of the object, which helps to remove the plaster stains from the flooring and different pollutions from the windows. Same services are done after the repair.

Cleaning Delivery

A representative of cleaning company helps to define the volume of jobs, their complexity and cost. As a rule, the specialist comes to the object, where they may decide, which remedies are needed for cleaning and how long will the cleaning be lasting. For example, the team of five-six people is needed for cleaning of the three-room apartment. You may order a cleaning, dry cleaning of furniture or windows washing at any time of the day. The cleaning companies work without weekends. The representatives of the companies say that the urgency of the order doesn’t influence its price – it depends on the presence of the free staff, and the necessity of changing the date of other’s clients order.

After ordering a cleaning service, you may also discuss the discounts. As a rule the price is reducing while concluding a contract for long-term serving. A discount system works for the regular customers. The discounts depend on the volume of order. You may get a 10% or 50% discount, because most of the cleaning companies work on the principle “the bigger is an order, the bigger is a discount”.

The cost of the jobs also depends on the complexity of the order. The prices for cleaning after construction are from 2 to 15 grivnas for sq. m of the surface. You have to pay no less than 1 grivna for each square meter of walls and ceiling, cleaned from dust. Furniture may be processed by the special polisher, which saves it from accumulating of dust, it’ll cost about 5 grivnas for a piece. While doing the preliminary order by phone, don’t expect to hear the exact price: each case is individual, from the area to the materials. A manager of Dom Service Tatyana Nedrya says that it’s impossible to define the cost of the jobs just knowing the total area of premises.

“A manager should come to the place. They are going to estimate the level of pollution and do the preliminary calculations. The diapason of prices is not a factor for defining a real price of the jobs”, she explains.

The wide assortment of trimming and constructive materials, the diversity of pollutions and their complexity, the access to the cleaning area – are just some of those factors, which affect the real price. These factors hardly may be fixed in the price-list. However there’s a limit of the lower level of payment – the price of the minimal order. For example, the minimal price of windows washing is 180 grivnas, the cleaning of the carpets depend on their total area, but if it’s less than 25m, the price is fixed; if the price of the order is less than 200 grivnas, the transportation services cost extra-price.

Don’t Save Money on Cleanliness

It’s important to emphasize, that you shouldn’t chase the cheapness. Choosing of the cheapest service isn’t right. The cost of the jobs varies depending on the quality of support consumables, quantity of staff at the object and technology of jobs. There’s a set of other criteria, which should be paid attention at while choosing the cleaning company. First of all, the list of performed objects, references and recommendations say about the reliability and professionalism of the company. One of the main factors is a longevity of company’s existing at the market, especially considering the fact of short experience of Ukrainian cleaning market. Even in the phone conversation the professional manager will show you their competency and knowledge of using the certain technological remedies. You should just pay attention at these small details. The promise to do everything, even to clean the white leather furniture from the coffee stains, proves the unprofessionalism of the company.
